especially with the many veterans that contributed to the Super Bowl championship. ,The Philadelphia Eagles will have some decisions coming up on their 53-man roster in the coming weeks (some of which they already made). Philadelphia will have some turnover on their 53-man roster

One of those veterans is safety Corey Graham, who will be a free agent in March. These are the tough decisions the Eagles have to make on their 53-man roster. In Part 7 of our "Stay or Go" series, 247Sports looks at the next five players in alphabetical order (Corey Graham to Jordan Hicks) on the Eagles roster. "Stay or Go" revolves around which players will be on the 53-man roster in 2018.

Graham was one of the most underrated players on the Eagles roster this season, filling in as a valuable No. 3 safety behind Malcolm Jenkins and Rodney McLeod. He was exactly what the Eagles needed after signing in August, having 32 tackles, four pass deflections, and two interceptions. He also made the fourth-down stop at he six-yard line to preserve the Eagles' Week 15 win over the Giants. The Eagles can easily make the case to bring Graham back based on his production in 35.63 percent of the snaps, but they do need to get younger and are $6.1 million over in salary cap space. Graham will be 33 in 2018 and signing him at $1.8 million (his 2017 salary) may be too much for the Eagles.

Greene originally signed with the Eagles as an undrafted free agent in May 2016 out of San Diego State and spent the entire season on the practice squad. Greene was on the Eagles roster throughout training camp this year, but was cut from the team on Sept. 2. He resigned to the practice squad back in December. The Eagles gave Greene a high undrafted free agent signing bonus back in 2016, but he hasn't been able to find a spot on the Eagles roster. Greene will need a standout performance this offseason to have a shot at cracking the 53-man roster this year, but the Eagles seem set with just eight offensive linemen (all under contract).

Grugier-Hill continues to be on elf the most valuable special teams players on the Eagles, leading the team by playing 75.22 percent of the special teams snaps. He played all 16 games, finishing with nine tackles and a forced fumble. Grungier-Hill only makes $630,000 in 2018, with the ability to play the SAM and WILL> Remember, and played a few snaps at safety. , a bargain for his production on special teams. He could be in for an expended role at linebacker, Grugier-Hill also was the backup kicker when Jake Elliott went down (kicked a touchback)

Hicks has one year remaining on his rookie year, having 28 tackles and a fumble recovery in seven games before rupturing his Achilles and ending his year. When Hicks is on the field, four fumble recoveries and a forced fumble. He's just the fifth player in NFL history to put up those numbers through the first two years of his career and the first linebacker to accomplish the feat. In Hicks' only full season (2016),Authentic Lane Johnson Jersey, entering a "prove it" year after having a season-ending injury in two of the last three seasons. The Eagles middle linebacker rebounded from a slow start to the season, he's extremely productive. In his first 24 career games, Hicks had 100 career tackles with 14 pass deflections, seven interceptions,Authentic Zach Ertz Jersey, it's the Eagles. , five interceptions, he finished with 86 tackles, 11 pass deflections as opposing quarterbacks had just a 53.7 passer rating when the ball was thrown in this direction. That's what the Eagles get out of Hicks when he's healthy (key word is when). If Hicks is healthy in 2018 and puts up those numbers, someone will pay him starting linebacker money. Hopefully

currently sitting $6.1 million over the projected $178 million cap threshold. Philadelphia will have to release or rework contracts with multiple players in order to resign other players and make moves in free agency. ,Authentic Mychal Kendricks Jersey,The Philadelphia Eagles have some work to do to get under the salary cap

Many players are on the roster bubble for the Eagles because of their contracts an the amount of salary cap space freed up from their potential removal from the roster. Here are five players on the Eagles that are the top candidates on the chopping block.

Highly unlikely the Eagles part ways with Long, who is heading into the second year of a team friendly five-year deal...but Philadelphia can save salary cap space but cutting his contract. The Eagles would save $1.95 million in cap space by releasing Long, who will be 33 next season. Long was extremely productive in 2017, five sacks, highly unlikely the Eagles cut him. ,Womens Vinny Curry Jersey, having 28 tackles, and four forced fumbles. Again

before giving him the punting job over Cameron Johnston. Philadelphia brought Johnston back in a futures deal in January,The Eagles almost parted ways with the 37-year old Jones in 2017, giving him another shot to unseat Jones. The Eagles will have to rework Jones' deal, as they will save $1.625 million if they cut him. While Jones averaged 45.3 yards per punt and had five touchbacks, the Eagles are paying Jones way too much for a punter ($1.875 million).

Curry had a strong season for the Eagles, even if the three sacks don't indicate he did. Curry had 47 pressures on the year (fourth on the team), despite playing 55.92 percent of the snaps...compiling 42 tackles and a forced fumble while starting all 16 games. However, Curry is set to make $11 million in year three of his five-year contract, who saw his playing time reduced in favor of 2017 first-round pick Derek Barnett in the second half of the season. With the Eagles ready to give Barnett an expanded role, but we'll see if that comes to fruition for the soon-to-be 30-year old. , with a dead cap hit of $6 million. The Eagles save $5 million if they release Curry, Curry's days with the Eagles seem to be numbered. Curry can return if he restructures his deal

Years of patience and bad Eagles teams paid off for Celek, as the longest tenured player on the Eagles roster was rewarded with a Super Bowl. Celek is the best blocking tight end on the Eagles, but is 33 years old and coming off a career low in catches (13) and yards (130) last season. He is also owed $5 million, with the Eagles saving $4 million in cap space if they release him. Celek has taken pay cuts before (last season included), but this is too much for the Eagles to inhale. Hopefully, Celek retires and makes the decision easy for the Eagles.

but they are both team options. Basically,Smith has two years remaining on his deal with the Eagles, the Eagles save $5 million by declining Smith's team option for 2018...making him a free agent. Philadelphia could bring Smith back, but at a significantly reduced rate. Smith had just 36 catches for 430 yards and two touchdowns as the Eagles No. 2 receiver, but was a leader on the team. This decision to save $5 million is an easy one.

Jeffery (shoulder), who underwent surgery Wednesday to repair a torn right rotator cuff, is uncertain to be available for the start of training camp and could miss time during the preseason, Les Bowen of the Philadelphia Daily News reports.

The Eagles should shed more light on the status of Jeffery's rehab from the procedure when the team reconvenes for Organized Team Activities in April. Though it's likely the wideout won't be in attendance for the offseason program and could be sidelined when training camp opens, the expectation remains that he'll be back to full strength by the start of the regular season. Despite playing hurt throughout the 2017 campaign after sustaining the injury during camp, Jeffery turned in a strong first year in Philadelphia, catching 57 of 120 targets for 789 yards and nine touchdowns in 16 games. After inking a four-year extension in December, Jeffery is set to reprise his role as the top target for franchise quarterback Carson Wentz (knee), who could be recovered from a torn ACL and LCL before the new season begins.

Peduzzi integrated innovative sports science ideas into his day-to-day duties and the Eagles routinely suffered fewer serious injuries than most teams across the NFL.,Womens Zach Ertz Jersey,Peduzzi joined the Eagles in 1999 and accepted the head trainer job in 2013 when former coach Chip Kelly arrived. Under Kelly

Peduzzi remained in his position when Doug Pederson took over as coach in 2016.

In 2017, three key Eagles suffered ACL tears: Quarterback Carson Wentz, left tackle Jason Peters running back Darren Sproles. Philadelphia weathered those injuries to win a championship in what turned out to be Peduzzi's final season with the team.

"This was not an easy decision, but one that I have put much thought into and I appreciate the organization's support and wish them all the best in the future,Womens Caleb Sturgis Jersey," Peduzzi said in a statement. "I am so proud of what we have been able to achieve together. To bring the Lombardi Trophy to Philadelphia this year was an amazing experience and I believe we have built a strong foundation that the team can continue to build on for years to come."

In other staff news, Womens Lane Johnson Jersey, the Birds are giving running backs coach Duce Staley a new title after they promoted wide receivers coach Mike Groh to offensive coordinator over him, according to a report.

a well-respected coach who's been in his role since 2013,Staley,Womens Malcolm Jenkins Jersey, will now have the title assistant coach/running backs,. Coach Doug Pederson interviewed Staley and Groh for the offensive coordinator position Monday and gave the promotion to Groh on Tuesday, according to reports.

signing the 36-year-old left tackle to a contract extension might make more sense.,Contrary to rumors the Eagles could try to trade Jason Peters

The Eagles are well over the projected NFL salary cap for 2018,Authentic Malcolm Jenkins Jersey, and Peters' money looks like an easy target. The nine-time Pro Bowl selection is scheduled to cost more than $10 million next season after suffering a torn ACL in October. Since then, Authentic Vinny Curry Jersey, the team went on to win a Super Bowl with Halapoulivaati Vaitai at left tackle.

Peters is aging, expensive, recovering from a serious injury,Authentic Jason Kelce Jersey, and a young alternative would earn a fraction of his salary - all sound reasons for the Eagles to explore a trade.
La Canfora expects the Eagles to be "proactive" in their effort to move Peters.

I'm not so sure. Entering the final year of his contract, Peters and the Eagles agreed to a new contract last June - a deal fueled in part by Peters' desire for financial security beyond the 2017 season. Though the pact does not explicitly prohibit a trade, Womens Mychal Kendricks Jersey,it certainly disincentivizes the Eagles from going down that route.

According to estimates, trading Peters creates only $4.3 million in cap savings for 2018. The Eagles would be on the hook for another $6.3 million, for a player who will no longer be on the roster

this is somebody the Eagles should want around.,Peters is still the best left tackle on the team. He was well on his way to another Pro Bowl before injury struck. He's probably the most respected player in the locker room. As long as the stated goal is to repeat as world champions

extending Peters may prove more helpful. The Eagles can pick up his team option for 2019,If money is the motivating factor, perhaps even add a year in 2020, and structure a new contract similar to the deal reached last summer, pushing bonus money into future years to lower his cap hit in '18.

Obviously, there is risk involved. Restructuring kicks the can down the road, so the Eagles will have to deal with the financial consequences next offseason rather than now.

There aren't many better options, either. Peters reportedly declined to take a pay cut last offseason - he's not just going to give the money back. And while the Eagles could recoup some draft picks in a swap, it would come at the expense of their O-line depth, with minimal financial benefit.

Peters was dominant last season. He's bounced back after major surgery before, returning to form after a torn Achilles in 2012. In fact, every time there's been concern about Peters' ability or future, he seems to respond better than ever.

Maybe it's about time we have some faith in an eventual Hall of Famer and quit trying to ship him out of town.
